Begin your wild-crafting journey and learn how to forage your own food and medicine.

There is an abundance of wild plants out your back door that can be used as food and medicine and this is the class that will set you on the right path of a life-long journey of learning, connection and gathering edible and medicinal ingredients from the wild. 

In this session, you will learn the foundations of wild foraging and what you need to know to become proficient in wild-harvesting skills. 

This class is specifically created for you if you are new and drawn to the fun and adventure of wild-crafting your own food and medicine. 

You will learn:

The foundations for knowing how to ID different plant species

Ideas on where and when to forage

What tools you will need as well as the best books and other resources you’ll want to know about

And we'll cover the best practices including sustainable and ethical harvesting techniques.

If you have been wanting to get started with wild foraging and are excited to acquire this important life-long skill, then this is the class for you!

All events are a go rain or shine.

This class will take place in the NW of Calgary at a remote city park location and we will be taking an easy walk through various ecosystems to highlight the natural plants growing in the area.
