Red Maca: Raw Organic - Light Cellar
Maca is a cruciferous relative of the radish growing in the high mountains of Peru, at over 11,000 ft making it the world’s highest altitude crop. It is well studied as an adaptogenic plant and has a rich nutrient profile. In Peru, it is has been used dried and ground into a powder as a staple food source for thousands of years. Known as ‘Andes aphrodisicac’, and also as ‘Peruvian ginseng’, though it is not related. Red maca is known for its malted, butterscotch like flavour and warming qualities and is also referred to as purple or pink maca.
Add 1-3 tsp or more to smoothies, elixirs, hot chocolate, milkshakes, chocolate bars or sauces.
