Peppermint Leaf: Raw, Organic- The Light Cellar
Peppermint is a hybrid between spearmint and water mint first cultivated in England. It has both warming and cooling properties, its peppery note distinguishing it from other mints. In Egypt, peppermint was buried with the deceased to protect them on their journey into the afterlife.
Use as a tea, tincture, steam/wash or culinary. Infuse 1-2 tsp to 1 cup hot water for tea. Steep covered 5-10 min. Strain. Add peppermint directly to water, soups, rice, beans or smoothies.
