Insulin resistance is the most common and prevalent health issue worldwide and it now affects almost everyone. Most associate Insulin resistance with diabetics and those who are overweight, but this is not accurate. In fact, insulin resistance and dysregulation affects adults, children, and people of different ethnicities and ages.
Many do not realize that this may be an issue for them and despite modern medicine having access to testing protocols and information regarding this topic, it is often not viewed as a key factor.
At the end of this workshop, you will learn how insulin resistance can affect your hormones, reproductive health, the brain and neurological disorders, gastrointestinal and kidney health, liver health, heart and cardiovascular health, inflammation, our weight, obesity and chronic disease.
You will also learn about the signs that may indicate you have concerns with Insulin resistance, as well as the key steps for prevention and mitigating concerns that may already exist.
In this session you will explore:
- What is insulin resistance and what causes it
- Understanding the Pancreas and its importance in overall health
- How insulin resistance affects the major mechanisms in the body
