This herb has a fresh, green taste with a hint of sweetness. Alfalfa not only provides nutrients for humans, but its has been used to help improve poor soil by making an effective 'green manure' for providing nutrients. In parts of China and Russia, young Alfalfa leaves have been served as a vegetable. Used in TCM and later adopted into use by Native Americas who referred to it as buffalo grass.
Instructions: Infuse 2 tbsp to 1 cup water for tea. Or use as a cooling poultice, add into herbal vinegars or incorporated into soups or stews.
