These wild-grown bitter apricot kernels have a very strong bitter taste which indicates high levels of amygdalin, a substance which is converted to cyanide by the body and many cause symptoms of poisoning if consumed. Note: Health Canada does not consider raw and unprocessed bitter apricot kernels to be safe for human consumption.
