Juniper Berries: Raw Organic - Light Cellar

Story:

Juniper is an evergreen tree - as the berries take 2-3 years to ripen, trees typically have both ripe bluish and unripe gree berries present at the same time. The berries have a long history of use in folklore and medicine, the earliest recorded use being as the symbol of the Egyptian fertility goddess: Ashera. 

Crush berries just before use to preserve the volatile oils. Add to tea or use in cooking to flavour meat & sauces. Delicious in ferments, or used in a tincture. Do not consume if pregnant or in persons with kidney disease or those using diuretic drugs.
