Marshmallow Root: Raw Organic - Light Cellar
The Latin name Athaea means 'to heal', and it belongs to the mucilage containing Malvaceae family. It has been used throughout ancient Egyptian, Arab, Greek and Roman cultures for over 2000 years. Considered sweet, moistening and cold in Ayurveda. Used for centuries in desserts and candy, cosmetic creams, poultices and as a food.
Add 2-3 Tbsp to 1L lukewarm water. Brew 4 hours or overnight. Strain. Or make as a hot tea using boiling water in the same proportions.
