Historically associated with peace and believed to be a protection from misfortune. Traditionally used as an aphrodisiac, an antidote for poison, and to bestow long life and fertility. Used medicinally in Europe for centuries to treat epilepsy, infertility, hypertension, arthritis, insomnia, and mental problems. 

Tea infusion: Add 1-2 tsp to 1 cup hot water. Steep 10-15 min. Strain. Or make a tincture.
