Non-Fortified Nutritional Yeast
Nutritional yeast, made typically from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is the same type of yeast used to bake bread and brew beer, except that is specifically grown as a food product. After fermentation, once the yeast has produced an abundance of vitamins and minerals, the yeast is deactivated leaving behind a very nutrient-rich food. No further vitamins and minerals are added to this nutritional yeast, unlike other popular versions, leaving it to contain only what has occurred naturally. This nutritional yeast has deep umami, nutty, and cheese-like flavor that is commonly used to season popcorn as well as added to sauces and dips.
How to Use
Add 1-3 tbsp of this cheese tasting seasoning to salads, soups, dressings, dips, sauces, gravies, pizzas, and popcorn.
