Turmeric Root Pieces: Raw, Organic- The Light Cellar

Story:

 Turmeric root has a long history of use as a culinary spice, medicinal herb and natural dye dating back over 4000 years. It is a member of the ginger family, with similar warming and drying qualities. India grows and consumes most of the world's supply of this powerful plant. The best quality turmeric will be a vibrant orange.

Decoction: Add 6-12 slices per 1 L water. Boil 2-5 min. Simmer 30-60 min or longer. Add to sauces, soups, dressings and elixirs. To help absorption, consume with black pepper which contains piperine and consume heated with a high-quality fat. Avoid this herb in large amounts if taking blood thinners.
