One of the world's most celebrated culinary spices, turmeric has been used across Asia for over 4,000 years as a flavouring, a natural dye, and a cornerstone of Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese herbal medicine. A close relative of ginger, it shares that same warming, aromatic character — and the best quality root will greet you with a vivid, deep orange colour.

Traditionally used in herbal medicine to help relieve digestive discomfort, support liver health, and as a source of antioxidants. 

Ingredients: Organic turmeric root powder (Curcuma longa)

Use: Decoction - Add 6-12 slices per 1 L water. Boil 2-5 min. Simmer 30-60 min or longer. Add to sauces, soups, dressings and elixirs. To help absorption, consume with black pepper which contains piperine and consume heated with a high-quality fat. Avoid this herb in large amounts if taking blood thinners.
