Arriba Criollo Cacao Powder

Our Arriba Criollo cacao powder is made from rare heirloom cacao grown in the volcanic-rich soils of Ecuador, where cacao trees are nourished by rain and deep-mountain spring water. The cacao pods are hand-picked and processed close to where they are grown, including careful fermentation and sun-drying to develop their naturally rich chocolate flavour.

Undutched and unroasted, this cacao powder is minimally processed to preserve the natural character and nutritional qualities of the cacao bean. Naturally rich in cacao polyphenols and minerals such as magnesium, it brings a deep, complex chocolate flavour to both sweet and savoury creations.

Use: Add to elixirs, smoothies, and milkshakes, or use in baking, chocolate making, desserts, and other recipes.
