Chaga Tea Pieces: Raw Wild Harvested - Light Cellar
Story:
Hailed as the ‘king of medicinal mushrooms’ and also known as the ‘diamond of the forest’, chaga is considered a tree parasite that favours birch although many feel it is an ally of the tree helping to heal over lesions. Traditionally chaga was burnt as a smudge, used as a fire starter and widely used as medicine wherever it grew. Our chaga is wild harvested in New Brunswick using sustainable harvesting practices.
Origins:
New Brunswick Canada
Instructions:
Decoction: Add 1-2 Tbsp per 1L water. Bring to a boil. Simmer 15-60 min. Strain. Drink as tea or use as a base for elixirs, soups or smoothies. Make a big batch to sip all day or store finished tea in refrigerator for up to 5 days. Chaga tea pieces can be re-brewed 2-4 times. Also, use to make a tincture.
