Chinese Licorice Root

Chinese Licorice Root - Glycyrrhiza glabra - Organic - China

Native to Europe and Asia, it is also known as sweet-root, referencing its Latin name and noteworthy alkaloid glycyrrhizin, which is 50 times sweeter than sugar. 

Instructions: To make a tea, add 1 tsp of chopped root, or a 1 inch slice per cup boiling water. Simmer or steep for 10-20 minutes. 

You can even chew a piece as a breath freshener!
