USP Grade – stands for United States Pharmaceutical Grade. It is also commonly known as as Food Grade. USP Grade Epsom Salt is the most quality controlled type of Epsom Salt that is often used in personal care products and food. 

History of Epsom Salt  - Did you know Epsom Salt was first used in the summer of 1618? It was discovered in England by a local cow herder named Henry Wicker. During this time there was a drought. As Henry was walking across a pool of water in a local nature reserve called Epsom Common, he noticed there was a pool of water that his cows refused to drink due to the bitterness of the taste. Upon the evaporation of this pool of water, salt was found! Epsom Salt was born and throughout history, has been used for a variety of medicinal purposes. 

Instructions: It may be drunk, used to open bile ducts during liver flushes or in a solution for enemas. For bath purposes, add 1 cup to hot bath & soak for 15 minutes.
