A purifying, anti-inflammatory tonic with a clean mountain-forest scent. Larch hydrosol is well-suited for acne-prone or congested skin, soothing topical inflammation and joint discomfort, and supporting respiratory health during cold and flu season. Inhaled aromatically, its fresh resinous scent is grounding and clarifying — easing stress and mental fatigue. It can also be taken as a small amount in water as an immune-supportive tonic, or used as a revitalizing hair rinse.

Distilled from the needles and bark of the Western Larch (Larix occidentalis), a tree native to the mountains of BC and Alberta — and one of the only deciduous conifers in the world.

Use: Mist onto skin, add to a bath, use in steam inhalation, spray into the air, or take a small amount in water internally.

What are Hydrosols?

Hydrosols are aromatic and therapeutic waters created by distilling fresh or dried organic and wild-crafted plant materials. All of our in-house hydrosols are true hydrosols — crafted through a long, slow, traditional distillation process using a lead-free alembic copper distiller, hand-sourced from Portugal.

Unlike conventional essential oil production, we intentionally keep the essential oils blended into the final distillate, ensuring every bottle delivers the full potency of the plant. We also prioritize fresh plant material whenever possible — and for good reason. Fresh plants carry something that dried botanicals simply cannot: living cellular water.

This cellular water is typically lost during the high-pressure steam distillation used in commercial essential oil production. It is rich in bioavailable minerals, phytosterols, antioxidants, and a vast spectrum of water-soluble botanical compounds — and it is precisely this that gives our hydrosols their depth of aroma and genuine therapeutic character.
