This traditional sweet treat is made from heating and stirring maple syrup to further concentrate the sugars. It has a delicate, yet deeply flavourful sweetness. Maple Sugar is often found sold in pressed shapes - a simple form for an easily transported sweet. Indigenous peoples in northeastern parts of North America were the first to produce maple syrup products.
