Warm, sweet and wonderfully aromatic, nutmeg has been prized for centuries as both a culinary spice and a traditional botanical. Once considered so valuable that it helped drive the historic spice trade, nutmeg remains a beloved ingredient for adding warmth and depth to both sweet and savoury dishes.

Traditionally used in folk herbalism to support digestion and circulation, nutmeg is also a source of manganese and fibre. Its rich, warming flavour makes it especially lovely in autumn and winter cooking.

Sprinkle over oatmeal, sauces, soups, squash or potatoes, or add it to macaroni, cookies, pudding, cake or eggnog. It’s also delicious in warming drinks, elixirs and spice blends.
