Sunflower Seeds

Considered the most cheerful flower in the world, the sunflower is a symbol of light, hope and innocence. Though originally from Central and south America, sunflower seeds were one of the earliest crops cultivated in the USA. The seeds have a mild nutty flavour and can be enjoyed raw or lightly roasted.

Substitute for nuts in recipes, add to trail mix, yogurt, salad, cereal and baked goods. Delicious as a seed butter or mylk.
